ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a substance called urinary Activin A to see if it can help doctors understand how severe acute kidney injury (AKI) is in patients admitted to Assuit University Hospital. Acute kidney injury is a sudden decrease in kidney function, which can happen for various reasons, and knowing its severity is important for treatment. The study aims to find out if measuring urinary Activin A levels can be a reliable way to assess the seriousness of this condition.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have acute kidney injury without a history of chronic kidney disease. Unfortunately, those with certain health conditions, like heart failure or cancer, and pregnant women cannot join. Participants will undergo tests to measure their urinary Activin A levels, which could provide valuable information for their care.
