ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a treatment called arterial embolization for people with bone metastases, which are cancer cells that have spread to the bones. This method is a minimally invasive procedure, meaning it doesn't require large incisions, and has been shown to help reduce pain, control the disease in the affected area, and lower bleeding during surgery. The trial is currently looking for participants who are 65 years or older and have a life expectancy of more than three months. Eligible patients should have either a single area of cancer spread or a few spots that are causing significant pain.

If you decide to participate in the trial, you will receive the embolization treatment and be monitored closely to assess how well it helps with your symptoms. It's important to note that not everyone can take part; for example, those with severe health issues, certain types of cancer spread that do not respond well to this treatment, or active infections will not be eligible. This trial aims to gather more information about the effectiveness of this treatment option, which could provide relief for many patients suffering from painful bone metastases.
