ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a combined treatment approach for people suffering from chronic neck pain and associated jaw issues, known as temporomandibular disorders (TMD). The researchers want to see if a combination of manual therapy (hands-on treatment) and specific movement control exercises can help improve neck pain and overall function. The trial involves three different groups, each receiving a slightly different type of therapy, all aimed at relieving pain and improving movement.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old and have been experiencing chronic neck pain for at least three months. They should also be able to understand instructions in German and complete questionnaires. Participants will attend six treatment sessions over six weeks, where they will receive personalized exercises and therapy. At the beginning and end of the trial, their neck pain and movement will be assessed to see how well the treatments worked. This study is currently looking for volunteers to take part, so if you or someone you know fits the eligibility criteria, it might be a good opportunity to explore new treatment options for neck pain.
