ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the relationship between vitamin B12 levels and different types of strokes, specifically looking at patients who have experienced either hemorrhagic strokes (caused by bleeding in the brain) or ischemic strokes (caused by a blockage in blood flow). Researchers want to find out if there is a connection between low levels of vitamin B12 and the risk of having these strokes. Understanding this relationship could help in developing new preventive measures for people at risk of stroke, especially since strokes are a leading cause of disability and death worldwide.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with a stroke while being hospitalized at the General Hospital of Mexicali. Participants will undergo lab tests to check their vitamin B12 levels and imaging studies to assess the type of stroke they have had. This research is important because it may help improve the care and treatment options for stroke patients in the future.
