ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders, which are conditions affecting the muscles and bones, among monks and nuns in Egypt. The researchers aim to understand how common these disorders are within this specific group. To participate, individuals must be at least 24 years old, have a healthy body weight (with a Body Mass Index, or BMI, between 18.5 and 24.9), and be either a monk or nun who has been practicing for various lengths of time, such as 1-3 years, 4-10 years, or over 10 years.
Participants can expect to fill out a questionnaire that is in Arabic, which will help the researchers gather information about their health related to musculoskeletal issues. It's important to note that individuals who have certain pre-existing conditions, such as serious injuries or surgeries affecting their bones or muscles, or those who do not meet the BMI requirements, will not be eligible to participate. This study is currently recruiting participants from different monasteries across Egypt, and it aims to provide valuable insights into the health of monks and nuns in this region.
