ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a type of therapy called internet-delivered prolonged exposure (I-PE) to help immigrants in Sweden who are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The main goal is to see how effective this online therapy is compared to being on a waiting list for treatment. Participants will be randomly placed into one of two groups: one group will receive the I-PE therapy for eight weeks, while the other group will wait for the same amount of time before starting treatment. Researchers want to learn how well this online therapy works and how easy it is for immigrants to access it.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, currently diagnosed with PTSD, and able to read and write in English. They should also be living in Sweden and have daily access to a computer or device with the internet. The study is looking for a diverse group of participants and aims to make the recruitment process as inclusive as possible. Throughout the trial, participants will have the chance to share their experiences, and researchers will collect information on how many people join, how well they stick to the treatment, and other important details.
