ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a procedure called diagnostic laparoscopy, which is a type of surgery used to find the cause of unexplained abdominal pain. If you or someone you know has ongoing stomach pain that hasn’t been explained by other tests, this trial might be a good option to consider. The study is looking for participants aged 18 to 70 who have this kind of pain that remains unclear after other imaging and lab tests have been done.
Participants in this trial will undergo the laparoscopic procedure, which involves making small cuts in the abdomen to look inside with a camera. This can help doctors see what is causing the pain and decide on the best treatment. However, there are some important criteria to keep in mind: people currently using strong pain medications, those with certain medical conditions like bleeding disorders or heart problems, and anyone who doesn’t want to have the procedure will not be eligible. This trial is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it aims to evaluate both the safety and effectiveness of this procedure for addressing unexplained abdominal pain.
