ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how the fluid levels in children with chronic kidney disease change when they are on regular hemodialysis, a treatment that helps filter waste from the blood when the kidneys are not working properly. The trial will include children aged 3 to 16 who have end-stage renal disease and have been on hemodialysis for at least six months. However, children with certain conditions, like serious lung disease or heart problems, will not be able to participate.

If your child is eligible and takes part in this study, they will be monitored to see how their body handles fluid during their treatment. This information could help doctors better understand and manage fluid levels in young patients with kidney disease. It's important to note that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, so you will need to check back later if you're interested.
