Anti-bacterial Potential of Nano Calcium Hydroxide as an Intracanal Medication

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a special medication called Nano Calcium Hydroxide to fight bacteria inside the teeth during root canal treatments for permanent molars. The goal is to see if this medication can help improve the treatment for patients suffering from infections related to their tooth roots, known as apical periodontitis.

To participate in this study, you should be a healthy adult between the ages of 21 and 49, without any major health issues or disabilities. You must also have a single permanent molar that shows signs of infection. However, pregnant women, people with weakened immune systems, and those who have taken antibiotics recently, among others, will not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive the Nano Calcium Hydroxide treatment during your dental visit, and the research team will monitor your progress to help determine how well it works. Eligibility criteria

• Inclusion Criteria:
• • healthy males and females.
• • age range between 21-49.
• • patients with no physical disability or psychological problems.
• • patients presenting with single permanent molar with signs and/or symptoms of apical periodontitis, and having Periapican index ≥ 2.
• Exclusion Criteria:
• • pregnant women.
• • patients with immune-compromised disease.
• • patients with complicated systemic diseases.
• • patients who took antibiotics within a period of 1 month.
• • patients with known sensitivity to the medicaments or pharmaceuticals used in this study.
• • Non-restorable teeth including root fractures, and/or advanced periodontal involvement.
