ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how supportive care training for mothers can help reduce the excessive crying often seen in babies with infantile colic. Infantile colic is a common condition where babies cry for long periods, typically more than three hours a day, for several days a week, without a clear reason. This can be very stressful for both babies and their mothers, affecting their bond and the mother's well-being. By providing training and support to mothers, the trial aims to improve their confidence in caring for their babies and help reduce the crying episodes.
To participate in this study, mothers must be over 18 years old and have a baby between 1 to 3 months old who is exclusively breastfed and has been diagnosed with infantile colic by a pediatrician. Mothers should not be taking sedatives or antiepileptic medications and must be able to communicate in Turkish. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but if you meet these criteria, you'll have the chance to learn techniques that may help both you and your baby during this challenging time.
