ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new approach called "multi-omics technique" to see if it can help predict how well a combination of chemoradiotherapy (a treatment using chemotherapy and radiation) and immunotherapy (a treatment that helps the immune system fight cancer) works for patients with recurrent and metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), which is a type of throat cancer that has come back or spread. The researchers are looking to enroll 50 patients aged between 18 and 70 who have been diagnosed with this type of cancer.

To participate in the trial, patients must not have any other active cancers, must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and should be in reasonably good health, as indicated by their ECOG score (a measure of how well a person can perform daily activities). Participants will be asked to give their consent before joining the study, and they can expect to undergo various tests and evaluations to help the researchers gather important information about the effectiveness of the treatments being studied. It’s an exciting opportunity to contribute to research that could improve cancer treatment for others in the future!
