ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different methods for repairing incisional hernias, which are hernias that occur at the site of a previous surgical incision. The trial will compare two techniques called "Onlay" and "Sublay" mesh hernioplasty to see which one has better short-term outcomes for patients.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 18 and 60 years old and must be fit for surgery. They should have a specific type of incisional hernia that involves both cutting and splitting of muscles from previous surgeries. Patients who are not healthy enough for surgery, have certain types of complicated hernias, or large hernias that are difficult to repair will not be included. If you choose to participate, you can expect to receive one of the two surgical techniques and will be monitored for how well the repair works in the short term. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be more information available as it gets closer to starting.
