ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the effects of back massage on new mothers in the first 24 hours after giving birth. The researchers want to see if massage can improve comfort, reduce pain and anxiety, and positively affect vital signs like blood pressure and heart rate. Although many studies have looked at the benefits of massage, this trial aims to specifically measure how it can help mothers during the early postpartum period, which is a time when they might be feeling a lot of physical and emotional changes.
To participate in this study, women need to be at least 18 years old, have had a vaginal delivery of their first child, and be able to sit up comfortably. They must not have any significant health issues or psychiatric conditions, and they should not be experiencing any complications related to their pregnancy. If you or someone you know meets these criteria and is interested in participating, the study could provide valuable insights into how a simple back massage might help ease the postpartum experience.
