ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new, ultra-slim endoscope that can be inserted through the nose to help doctors examine and treat issues in the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as the esophagus and stomach. The goal is to see if this new tool can safely and effectively provide care for patients who are looking to manage obesity and related gastrointestinal problems. If successful, this method could make it easier and more affordable for patients to receive necessary evaluations and treatments.
To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 90 years old and have been referred by your doctor for procedures like an esophagoscopy or gastroscopy. You should also be receiving care at a metabolic and bariatric clinic. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo a procedure using the new endoscope, which aims to improve your care experience. It’s important to note that if you are under 18, unable to provide consent, or have medical reasons that prevent you from undergoing this type of procedure, you will not be eligible to participate.
