ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a condition called cardiac amyloidosis (CA), which can be a common cause of heart failure, especially in older patients who have what is known as heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). The researchers want to find out how many Tunisian patients with HFpEF actually have cardiac amyloidosis and to identify signs that could help doctors diagnose it earlier. They believe that catching this condition early can lead to better outcomes for patients.
To participate in the study, individuals must be over 60 years old and have been diagnosed with HFpEF in the past year, along with a specific measurement of heart muscle thickness. Unfortunately, those with certain heart conditions or younger than 60 cannot participate. If you join this study, you'll undergo various tests to help understand the prevalence of cardiac amyloidosis and improve future diagnosis methods. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to apply.
