ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how exercise, specifically resistance training and walking, can help improve the health and well-being of cancer patients who are receiving chemoradiotherapy. The researchers want to find out if these types of exercise can help maintain or improve muscle mass and strength, which are often lost during treatment. They also aim to understand how exercise affects certain substances in the blood called myokines, which play a role in muscle health. By doing this, they hope to enhance the quality of life for patients and identify those who may be at risk of losing muscle mass.

To participate in this study, you need to be a cancer patient aged between 20 and 70 years old who can take part in exercise after being checked by a doctor. You should also be able to understand Mandarin, Taiwanese, or Hakka. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in various exercises and have your muscle health monitored before and after treatment. This trial is important because it could lead to better care strategies for cancer patients, helping them stay stronger and healthier during their treatment journey.
