ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the relationship between Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and the risk of different types of cancer in people living in Southern China. The researchers want to find out not only if EBV is linked to cancers that are already known to be associated with it, like lymphomas and stomach cancer, but also if it could be related to other types of cancer. They are also trying to understand how much of a cancer burden in this region can be attributed to EBV.
To participate in this study, you need to live in Zhongshan or Wuzhou City and have no history of cancer. You should also be in good health overall and willing to follow the study's procedures. If you have serious heart, liver, or kidney problems, or if you already have cancer, you wouldn't be eligible to join. Participants can expect regular check-ups and monitoring as part of the study, which aims to contribute valuable information about cancer risks related to EBV.
