ClinConnect Summary
The "Oh Happy Day Class - Digital Connections" study is looking to see if a mobile phone app can help African Americans who are experiencing depression. The main goal is to find out if using this app can effectively reduce feelings of depression. Participants in the study will join six weekly classes, each lasting 90 minutes, all conducted through the app. They will also complete short surveys every week to share how they are feeling. The entire study will last about four months.
To join this study, participants need to be African American, at least 18 years old, and experiencing depression, which is measured using a simple questionnaire. However, those who are currently receiving therapy, have thoughts of harming themselves, or have recently started certain medications won’t be eligible. This trial is not yet recruiting, so there’s still time for interested individuals to learn more and see if they qualify.
