ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new surgical technique called the Laterally Rotated Flap to improve the soft tissue around dental implants. Many people with dental implants experience issues like gum inflammation and tissue loss, which can affect the success of the implant. The goal of this study is to see if this technique can help enhance the quality and volume of the gum tissue around these implants, leading to better long-term outcomes.
To participate in the trial, individuals must have a dental implant with some gum recession and a plaque index score below 30%. Participants should not have any significant health issues and can be smokers, as long as they smoke fewer than 20 cigarettes a day. Unfortunately, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding and those with serious health conditions will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo the new surgical procedure and be monitored for how well it improves your gum tissue health. This research is important because healthy gum tissue can help prevent further complications and improve the longevity of dental implants.
