ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how effective a medication called diclofenac sodium is at reducing bacteria in the teeth compared to a commonly used treatment called calcium hydroxide paste. Both of these medications will be used inside the canals of permanent molar teeth that have a condition known as chronic apical periodontitis, which is an infection at the tip of the tooth root. The researchers want to find out if diclofenac sodium can work as well as calcium hydroxide for treating this condition.

To participate in the trial, you need to be between 18 and 62 years old and have a tooth diagnosed with apical periodontitis that can be restored. Unfortunately, if your tooth has immature roots, is beyond repair, or if you have certain medical conditions or allergies, you won't be eligible for this study. If you choose to participate, you will be randomly assigned to one of three groups, each receiving a different type of medication. The study is currently looking for volunteers, and if you're interested, you can expect to contribute to important research that could help improve dental treatments in the future.
