ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different exercise programs can affect how our bodies process pain. Researchers want to find out if a moderate intensity training program (like brisk walking) is as effective as a high intensity training program (like running) in improving pain sensitivity and pain management in healthy individuals. The goal is to learn more about how exercise can help reduce pain sensitivity, which could eventually benefit people with chronic pain conditions.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 55 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) between 20 and 25, and speak Dutch. You should also have a sedentary job and not exercise more than 3 hours a week. Unfortunately, if you have any current or serious past health issues, including pain complaints or pregnancy, you won't be eligible to join. If selected, participants can expect to engage in an exercise program and help researchers understand the link between physical fitness and pain processing. This research could pave the way for better pain management strategies in the future.
