ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how music therapy can help improve the use of arms and hands, as well as the overall quality of life for young people with hemiplegic cerebral palsy (CP). The researchers want to see if participating in music therapy can make daily activities easier and more enjoyable for these individuals. To join the study, participants need to be between the ages of 6 and 21, have difficulties using their arms, and be able to follow simple instructions.
Participants in the trial will engage in music therapy sessions, which are designed to be fun and therapeutic. The hope is that through these sessions, they will notice improvements in how their arms function and feel better overall. It's important to note that individuals with other neurological disorders or those who have had recent surgeries related to their arms will not be included in this study. This research could provide valuable information on the benefits of music therapy in helping young people with CP gain more control over their upper body and enhance their quality of life.
