ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a surgical method to treat localized gum enlargements and the associated gum recession in adults. Specifically, it aims to find an effective way to remove the enlarged gum tissue while also addressing the resulting gum recession, which can make it difficult to maintain good oral hygiene. This is important because if these issues are not resolved, they may lead to further gum problems. The study combines different surgical techniques to achieve better results for patients.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and generally healthy, with localized gum enlargement affecting no more than three teeth. Unfortunately, pregnant women, heavy smokers, and those taking certain medications that could affect healing won't be able to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo a surgical procedure aimed at improving both the appearance and health of your gums, and the trial is currently recruiting participants.
