ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new treatment for infants with a condition called unilateral complete cleft lip and palate, which affects the lip and the roof of the mouth. The researchers want to see if using a special 3D printed device for the nose, combined with a method called lip taping, can improve the appearance of the face and the shape of the mouth better than just using lip taping alone. This innovative approach uses digital technology to create a customized mold that fits each baby’s unique needs.

To participate in the trial, infants must be between 1 and 30 days old and have a unilateral complete cleft lip and palate. The study is open to both boys and girls who are otherwise healthy and do not have any other medical conditions or complications. If eligible, participants can expect to receive careful monitoring and support throughout the study to ensure their safety and comfort. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it represents an exciting opportunity to explore new ways to help babies with this condition.
