ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how different nursing interventions can help caregivers of patients who have had a stroke. The goal is to see if these interventions, which include face-to-face support during the patient’s discharge and ongoing support through phone calls (tele-nursing), can improve the caregivers' quality of life and reduce feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. The study will take place at the Neurology Intensive Care Unit of Sakarya University Training and Research Hospital, and will involve 56 caregivers who meet specific criteria, such as having a stroke patient who is about to be discharged, being able to read and write, and having access to a smartphone and the internet.

Participants in the trial can expect to receive education and support for caring for stroke patients, both in the hospital and at home, over a period of 7 weeks. They will complete surveys before and after the intervention to measure changes in their experiences as caregivers. It’s important to know that participation is voluntary, and all personal information will be kept confidential. If you're a caregiver of a stroke patient and are interested in joining, you'll need to have reliable phone access and commit to the training sessions.
