ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Helping Baby Breathe," is being conducted in health facilities and birthing centers in the Sarlahi district of Nepal. The goal of the trial is to improve the skills of healthcare workers who care for newborns and to enhance the health of newborns, especially those who may be struggling to breathe at birth or are born too early. Researchers will assess the health of newborns before and after the training of healthcare providers to see if the training leads to better health outcomes for the babies.
To participate in this trial, healthcare workers must have been trained in Community-based Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness (CB-IMNCI) and have at least one year of experience working in a birthing center. The trial is open to all genders and includes healthcare providers who are directly involved in newborn care. Participants can expect to help improve the care newborns receive while also gaining valuable training that could enhance their skills. This study aims to find effective ways to reduce the number of newborns who face serious health issues or die shortly after birth.
