ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a specific type of training, called Pecha Kucha, can help people with a stoma improve their quality of life and become more self-sufficient. A stoma is an opening made in the body to help with waste removal, often needed after surgery. The trial will involve teaching participants about stoma care through a smartphone app, making the information easy to access and understand.
To be part of this study, individuals must be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have a stoma for the first time. They should be able to speak and understand Turkish. Unfortunately, those who have had a stoma before or have difficulty with the language will not be eligible. Participants can expect to learn valuable skills that can help them manage their stoma independently. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it represents a promising opportunity to improve the daily lives of those adapting to life with a stoma.
