ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding acute respiratory failure and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in Chinese hospitals, especially during the winter months. Researchers want to gather important information about how common these conditions are, how they are treated, and what the outcomes are for patients. They will look at different factors, such as the severity of ARDS, the effectiveness of various treatments, and how these conditions affect patients' lives one year later. The study also aims to understand how personal factors like occupation and education might relate to the incidence and outcomes of ARDS.
Eligible participants for this trial include patients aged 18 and older who are admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and require breathing support, either through machines or specialized devices. If you or a loved one is admitted to an ICU and meets these criteria, there may be opportunities to participate in this important study. Participants can expect to be part of a comprehensive assessment that will help improve our understanding of these serious respiratory conditions, ultimately leading to better care and treatment for future patients.
