ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how common obesity is among school children and adolescents in Nag Hammadi City, and to identify factors that may contribute to being overweight. The study will include around 300 participants aged between 12 and 18 years, and it aims to find children whose body mass index (BMI)—a measure of body weight in relation to height—is higher than what is considered healthy.
To participate, children must be between 12 and 18 years old. Unfortunately, those younger than 12 or those with specific conditions, like hearing impairments, cannot take part. Once the study begins, participants will be assessed for their weight and height, and they may answer questions that help researchers understand their lifestyle and habits. This information will help in developing better strategies to support children in achieving a healthy weight. The trial is not yet recruiting, so there will be more information available soon for interested families.
