ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called Adaptive Radiotherapy (ART) for patients with head and neck cancer. ART uses advanced imaging to adjust radiation therapy plans based on changes in the patient's anatomy during treatment. This means that if the shape or position of the tumor changes, the treatment can be adapted to continue effectively targeting the cancer while protecting nearby healthy tissues. The goal of the study is to find out which patients can benefit the most from ART so that they can receive this tailored treatment.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 65 and 74 years old, have a confirmed diagnosis of head and neck cancer, and require radiation therapy. They should also be in good overall health according to specific criteria. Participants can expect to receive personalized treatment based on their unique needs, which may improve the effectiveness of their therapy and reduce side effects, such as difficulty swallowing. It’s important to note that pregnant individuals cannot participate in this study.
