ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different fluid management strategies during liver transplantation can affect bleeding and recovery. The main goal is to compare two approaches: one that limits the amount of fluid given to patients (restrictive) and another that allows more fluid (liberal). Researchers want to see how these strategies influence bleeding during surgery and the effects on important organs, like the lungs and kidneys, after the operation. They will use a special monitoring device to track how much fluid is needed and how it impacts patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals should be between 18 and 75 years old and have severe liver disease that requires a liver transplant. However, those with heart rhythm problems (arrythmias) cannot join. If eligible, participants can expect to be randomly assigned to one of the two fluid management groups during their surgery. The results of this study could help determine the best way to manage fluids in liver transplant surgery, potentially improving outcomes for patients.
