ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring the use of virtual reality (VR) to help reduce anxiety in patients who are about to undergo a procedure called invasive coronary angiography, which allows doctors to see how well the heart and blood vessels are working. Many patients feel anxious about this procedure, and while medications like benzodiazepines can help, they may not be enough. The trial aims to see if adding VR therapy can improve comfort and reduce anxiety levels before, during, and after the procedure.

To be eligible for the trial, participants must be at least 16 years old and planning to have this heart procedure done. They should have a moderate level of anxiety, which is measured by a simple score. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as severe hearing or vision problems that can't be corrected, or those with a history of dementia or specific anxiety disorders, cannot participate. During the trial, participants will experience VR therapy and complete various questionnaires to help researchers understand how well the VR works in reducing anxiety. This study is currently looking for volunteers, and all genders are welcome to participate.
