ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help young people from sexual and gender minority groups reduce the risks associated with drinking alcohol. It's called a game-based intervention, which means that participants will engage in activities that are fun and interactive while learning about alcohol-related harms and ways to stay safe. The trial aims to find out how effective this approach is for young people aged 14 to 18 who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, transgender, or nonbinary.

To participate, individuals must be between 14 and 18 years old, live in the U.S., and have access to the internet on a computer, smartphone, or tablet. They should have had some experience with alcohol or plan to drink in the next year. Unfortunately, this trial is not open to those who identify as cisgender heterosexuals. While the study is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect to take part in engaging activities that aim to help them make safer choices regarding alcohol use.
