ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining how frailty, which means being more vulnerable to health problems, affects patients undergoing gynecologic cancer surgery. The researchers are particularly interested in understanding if leftover effects from certain muscle relaxants used during surgery are related to the frailty of patients. This is important because frail patients may face more complications after surgery, longer hospital stays, and even higher risks of serious health issues.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for elective gynecologic cancer surgery. However, those who cannot communicate in Thai, don’t understand the study questions, have certain nerve or muscle diseases, or have wrist issues affecting tests cannot take part. If eligible, participants can expect to answer some questions about their health and frailty, helping researchers learn more about the best ways to care for patients like them during and after surgery.
