ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a combination of a specific type of back exercise (called the McKenzie approach) and a treatment called lumbar traction can help people with a condition known as lumbosacral radiculopathy. This condition often causes pain and disability in the lower back and legs, usually due to issues like a herniated disc. The researchers want to find out if combining these two treatments can improve nerve function, reduce pain, and enhance the ability to perform daily activities.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 35 and 60 years old and have had chronic pain in one leg or back for more than three months. You should also have a specific type of disc issue in your lower back. However, if you have had back surgery, have certain other medical conditions like heart problems or cancer, or have specific spinal issues, you won't be eligible to join. Participants will be divided into two groups: one group will do the back exercises alone, while the other will do the exercises with lumbar traction. This trial is currently recruiting, and all genders can participate.
