ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining how insulin is delivered to the body and how that affects insulin sensitivity, which is how well the body responds to insulin. Insulin helps control blood sugar levels, and it is normally released in small bursts. The researchers want to compare two ways of giving insulin: one that continuously delivers insulin and another that gives the same total amount in pulses every five minutes. By doing this, they hope to find out if the pulsed delivery helps the body use insulin more effectively.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have completed a previous study called the Motivate Study. The trial is open to people aged 18 to 39, and both men and women can take part. If you join, you can expect to undergo a specific test that measures how well your body responds to insulin, which is important for understanding your overall health. This research could help improve treatments for those with insulin sensitivity issues in the future.
