ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Eficacia Ventilatoria y Remolacha," is investigating how drinking beet juice may help improve breathing efficiency in patients experiencing fatigue after recovering from COVID-19. Although many people recover from the virus, some continue to feel tired and have difficulty breathing even without lung problems. Researchers believe that this fatigue may be linked to muscle issues that affect how well the body uses oxygen. By examining how beet juice affects these patients, the study aims to find new ways to enhance their breathing and overall well-being.
To participate in this trial, individuals aged 65 to 93 who have experienced fatigue following a COVID-19 infection may be eligible. Participants must provide written consent after being fully informed about the study. However, those with certain health conditions, such as heart disease or severe alcohol use, will not be included, as these could interfere with the study results. If you join, you can expect to consume beet juice and be monitored for any changes in your breathing efficiency. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help contribute to important findings that may improve care for others facing similar challenges.
