ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effects of monitoring blood pressure during pregnancy, specifically for women at higher risk of developing high blood pressure. At least 400 pregnant women will take part in the study, wearing a device that tracks their blood pressure from 12 to 28 weeks of pregnancy. The goal is to see how this monitoring impacts both the mothers and their babies, particularly in terms of birth weight and weight gain. Participants will be from three hospitals in China and will be divided into two groups: one will receive regular check-ups, while the other will use the wearable device along with their usual care.

To be eligible for this study, women must be pregnant with one baby and be less than 12 weeks along. They should also have certain risk factors, such as being over 30 years old, having a history of high blood pressure or diabetes, or having a family history of pregnancy-related complications. Participants will be expected to attend regular check-ups and will need to provide informed consent to join the study. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to better understand how monitoring blood pressure can help improve health outcomes for both mothers and their babies during pregnancy.
