ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on creating a national registry for people in the UK with vitiligo, a skin condition that causes patches of skin to lose their color. Vitiligo affects about 1% of the population, with many people developing it in childhood or early adulthood. The goal of the registry is to gather important information about patients receiving treatment, such as light therapy, to better understand how effective these treatments are and to improve patient care.

To participate in the trial, individuals—both children and adults—must have a clinical diagnosis of vitiligo made by a dermatologist and be receiving treatment in a secondary care setting. They need to provide written consent, and if they are minors, their parents or guardians must consent as well. Participants should be willing to allow long-term follow-up and access to their medical records. The study aims to make it easier for doctors to track and improve treatments for vitiligo, ultimately benefiting patients with this condition.
