ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how discussions about preserving fertility—like saving eggs or sperm—affect transgender individuals and their plans for parenthood. Researchers want to hear from transgender patients who are considering these options and also from the healthcare professionals who help them. By conducting interviews, the study aims to explore how the possibility of preserving gametes (the cells needed for reproduction) influences the decisions and health of transgender individuals during their transition.
To participate, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, identify as transgender, and have consulted with the fertility preservation services at the Tenon hospital in Paris. The study will also include healthcare team members from the reproductive biology and medicine services. Participants will share their experiences in a supportive environment, helping to improve care for future patients. This research is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable insights that could better support transgender people navigating their path to parenthood.
