ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how irrigation fluid used during a specific type of surgery called Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) can affect the lungs. Researchers want to find out if this fluid can cause extra fluid to build up in the lungs, which can be detected using a simple ultrasound test. This study is important because it aims to improve early detection of potential lung issues during surgery, helping to keep patients safe.
To participate in the trial, you need to be a male adult between the ages of 18 and 65 who is scheduled for TURP surgery. You cannot take part if you have certain health conditions, such as severe lung disease or if you will be given specific medications during surgery. If you join the study, you can expect to have lung ultrasounds to monitor your lung health during the procedure. This trial is not yet recruiting, so it may take some time before it starts accepting participants.
