ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating whether narrow diameter dental implants can effectively replace standard diameter implants in patients who have lost bone in the back of their lower jaw (mandible). Many patients face challenges when getting dental implants due to insufficient bone width, which often requires additional surgeries to build up the bone. This trial aims to see if using narrower implants can avoid these extra procedures, making the treatment simpler and less invasive.
To participate in the study, individuals should be at least 18 years old and have a specific amount of bone available in their jaw—at least 8 mm in height and 5-6 mm in width. Participants should also have had any teeth extracted at least three months prior and should be generally healthy, without conditions that could interfere with healing. Those who join the study can expect to receive either a standard or a narrow implant and will help researchers understand the best options for patients with limited bone. This research could lead to more straightforward treatments for many people needing dental implants.
