ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a substance called hyaluronic acid (HA) on healing after a specific type of jaw fracture known as a parasymphyseal fracture. HA is believed to help improve bone growth and healing when applied before the surgical fixation of the fracture. In this trial, 22 volunteers will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will receive HA treatment before their surgery, while the other group will have the surgery without HA. This study aims to see if using HA can lead to better healing outcomes.
To participate in this trial, volunteers should be between the ages of 16 and 60 and have a specific type of jaw fracture. They must be generally healthy and willing to undergo surgery and follow-up visits. Certain individuals, such as those with poor oral hygiene, smokers, or those with specific bone conditions, will not be eligible to join. Participants can expect to receive treatment and regular check-ups to monitor their healing progress throughout the study. This trial has not yet started recruiting participants, so those interested will need to wait for that process to begin.
