ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the best way to treat mild ankle sprains in children. It compares two approaches: one group of children will receive functional bandaging to support their ankle, while the other group will be treated without any immobilization, just using general care measures. The goal is to see if not using a support device helps children recover faster and feel better. Participants will be checked through an online survey sent via text message, which will ask about how their ankle is functioning, their pain levels, and how satisfied they are with the treatment.

To join the trial, children need to be between 5 and 16 years old and have a mild ankle sprain that occurred within the last 72 hours. They should not have any other serious injuries, such as fractures, and must have parental consent to participate. Children with certain medical conditions or previous ankle problems will not be eligible. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to find out the most effective way to help kids heal from ankle sprains.
