ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how cervical core exercises, which focus on strengthening the neck and upper back muscles, can help people with Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD) caused by Myofascial Pain Syndrome. TMD can cause pain in the jaw and difficulties with moving the mouth. The trial will involve 60 female participants aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with this condition. To take part, participants should be able to communicate in Turkish and understand the exercises. However, those with certain medical histories, such as recent jaw injuries or surgeries, will not be eligible.
Participants will be divided into three groups, each receiving treatment in 30-45 minute sessions twice a week for eight weeks. Everyone will engage in the exercises, and the researchers will observe how effective these exercises are in improving their TMD symptoms. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it's an opportunity for those with TMD to contribute to important research while potentially benefiting from the exercises.
