ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Evaluation of Intravenous Fluid Therapy Within Dallas Acute Pancreatitis Protocol, is studying how intravenous (IV) fluids can help people with acute pancreatitis (AP). Acute pancreatitis is a sudden inflammation of the pancreas, which can cause severe pain and other health issues. The goal of this trial is to find out the best way to use IV fluids to treat this condition and help patients recover more effectively.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of acute pancreatitis. Unfortunately, if you have a history of chronic pancreatitis or have not followed the IV fluid therapy guidelines, you would not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to receive IV fluids as part of your treatment, and the medical team will closely monitor your progress. This trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, and it aims to improve care for those affected by this challenging condition.
