ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new technology called Jaspr Health, which aims to help people who are experiencing thoughts of suicide or have previously attempted suicide. The goal is to provide effective support and resources in emergency departments (EDs) while making the most of the time patients spend waiting for care. The study will look at how well this technology works, how effective it is in real-life situations, and how easily it can be implemented in hospitals.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 74, live in Massachusetts, and have been identified as at risk for suicide through a screening in the ED. They should be able to understand and engage with the Jaspr app, read English at a sixth-grade level, and have access to a smartphone and reliable phone service. Participants can expect to use the app as part of their care in the ED, which is designed to provide support and evidence-based practices for managing their mental health. Importantly, individuals who are currently in prison or unable to give consent are not eligible for this study.
