ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the role of a full-time chaplain in a primary care clinic, specifically at the Golden Cross Academic Clinic (GCAC). The goal is to understand how having a chaplain available can help patients dealing with emotional disorders. While there is some research on chaplains in hospitals, there is not much information about how they can support patients in a primary care setting. This study will explore the types of conversations patients have with the chaplain and how this support might benefit their overall care.
To participate in the trial, you need to be over 18 years old and a patient at the GCAC who has met with the chaplain during your visit. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you fit these criteria, you could be part of this important research. As a participant, you can expect to discuss your experiences and feelings with the chaplain, which may help improve your emotional well-being. This study is significant because it seeks to enhance understanding of how spiritual care can be integrated into primary healthcare.
