ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two forms of exercise—Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise) and brisk walking—to see how they affect thinking and memory in people with schizophrenia. Researchers want to find out if either of these activities can help improve both mental and physical health for individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. Participants will be assessed on their cognitive (thinking) and physical abilities before starting the program, after completing it, and during follow-up visits.
To join the study, participants should be between 20 and 65 years old, have a stable mental health condition with no recent changes in medication, and be able to walk independently for at least 50 meters. However, people with serious health issues that affect their ability to participate, like heart or lung problems, or those who are currently experiencing severe mental health crises, will not be eligible. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to improve their overall health and cognitive function through exercise while being part of important research.
