ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called INTIMI-K, is focused on understanding the sexual health needs and satisfaction of patients with advanced cancer and their partners. Sexual health is an important part of overall well-being, especially for patients in palliative care, yet it is often overlooked. The study aims to gather information on how patients feel about their sexual health, what they need, and how healthcare providers can better support them in this aspect of their lives. By using questionnaires and interviews, the researchers hope to explore the experiences of both patients and their partners, recognizing that their needs are interconnected.
To participate in this study, individuals must be 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with advanced solid or blood cancers for more than three months. Patients can be receiving treatment or not, and their partners must also meet certain criteria. Participants will be asked to fill out questionnaires and participate in interviews, which will help the researchers understand their experiences and expectations regarding sexual health during cancer care. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it is a valuable opportunity to contribute to improving support for sexual health in cancer care.
